Private Pilot Licence - PPL (A)



With the PPL (A) licence you will also obtain the flight rating in a single-pilot single-engine piston aircraft, which will allow you to fly in this category of aircraft, for visual flights by day and in visual meteorological conditions (VMC).


This is the first title/licence to obtain if you want to be a commercial pilot (CPL).

Regardless of wanting to become a commercial pilot or not, with the PPL (A) Licence you can expand to be able to fly at night, with multi-engine aircraft, or under the instrument flight rules (IR).

COURSE CONTENTS

You can take the PPL (A) course both in Online mode (recommended for savings in travel and cheaper cost) or in its face-to-face mode (subject to promotions and minimum per promotion).

All flight sessions depart and return from/to Reus International Airport, which operates 365 days a year.

This course lasts an average of 3-4 months up to approximately 1 year, mainly depending on your availability.

If you choose the online modality, you can start it whenever you want and at your own pace.

Theoretical part

112 theoretical hours are carried out, of which 10% will be carried out online or in person.
This phase consists of 9 subjects, each of which must be passed with an official exam before AESA (headquarters in Barcelona and Madrid).

Practical part

The course consists of 45 hours of flying in a single-engine plane.
The programming of these flight hours will be done in coordination with your availability and in accordance with the follow-up of your tutor/flight instructor.

Requirements

Pass a class 2 medical exam (AESA), and be 16 years old (17 at the time of the practical exam).
It is highly recommended to have a medical certificate before the start

Skill test

Upon completing all the official theoretical exams, and all the necessary flight hours, you must pass a flight test. This is done in our own facilities.
